Decisions will be based on: Site safety (paths, steps, playground, car park) Staffing levels and ability to supervise safely Road conditions for families and staff Heating and building safety. Possible OutcomesFull Opening – School safe to open as normal. Partial Opening – Later start time or limited year groups if staffing/site conditions require. Full Closure – Only if the site is unsafe or staffing numbers make opening unsafe.CommunicationIf there is disruption: A message will be sent on ClassDojo to parents and staff. Updates will be sent no later than 7.30am, where possible.
On-Site Safety Measures Our caretaker will prioritise: Gritting main pathways, steps, and entrances. Clearing snow from essential access routes. Non-essential areas will remain closed until safe.
Attendance If school is open, children should attend unless travel is unsafe. Parents should inform the office if unable to travel due to conditions. Staff who cannot travel safely must contact the Headteacher directly.
Learning Continuity if school is fully closed: Work will be posted on ClassDojo by class teachers on day 1. Staff will be available online for support during the day. We will apply our distance learning plan if we have more than 1 day of closure. Wraparound Care (Breakfast Club / After School Club) If opening is delayed, Breakfast Club will be cancelled. If weather worsens during the day, After School Club may be cancelled with early notification to parents.
