Dear Parents, Carers and Visitors,

A very warm welcome to Ysgol-Y-Graig Primary School. I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Headteacher. It is a genuine privilege to join such a warm, vibrant and caring school community, and I am truly excited to begin this journey with our dedicated staff, wonderful children, and supportive families. At Ysgol-Y-Graig, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued and inspired. As Headteacher, I bring with me a strong commitment to the values of honesty, fairness and kindness, principles that will underpin all decisions and guide the direction of our school.

Building strong partnerships with parents and carers is vital to our success. I believe that by working together, we can ensure that every child reaches their full potential. I will be operating an open-door policy and encourage you to reach out, get involved, and share your thoughts, your voice matters.

Over this academic year, my focus will be on settling in, learning from our pupils and staff, and gaining a deep understanding of what makes Ysgol-Y-Graig so special. This period of reflection will allow me to prepare thoughtfully and begin shaping our future priorities.

Pupil voice will be a central part of our approach, and I look forward to hearing directly from our children about their experiences and ideas. Parents and carers will also be invited to take part in surveys to help shape the direction of the school. Your input will be invaluable in supporting the development of a shared vision for our future.
