At Ysgol-Y-Graig we are an inclusive, nurturing, school where every member of the school community is respected and valued. We take a holistic approach to wellbeing, it is everyone’s responsibility and it permeates through all aspects of school life. The school provides a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment where learners are motivated and encouraged to be healthy, active, confident, and aspirational individuals. Learners are given opportunities and experiences to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes necessary to be empathetic, resilient and critically engaged members of the community. They are encouraged to take an active role in promoting and upholding children’s rights through their leadership roles in our Wellbeing Crew. Positive relationships are at the heart of health and wellbeing in our school and are underpinned by our six nurture principles which are:
Ensuring that wellbeing remains higih for all our learners and staff is really important as we truly believe that a happy school is one that thrives.
